1974 Hallmark Autograph Book – New in Box, Unused – “Autographs of my Favorite People”
In the 1970s autograph books were popular, especially at the end of a school year. Everyone would sign each other’s book and write a little note like “I’m glad we were friends this year” or “I wish I would have gotten to know you better.” A sweet ritual long before the days of social media that created a memento of a child’s school friends.
This sweet autograph book somehow survived without ever being used. It is red hardcover with a classic Hallmark illustration of some children and a tiny bluebird. The first page has a printed quote: “Each friendship is a signature in someone’s Book of Life.” Robin St. John. The rest of the pages are blank and clean. Comes in its original box.
